Recordings

While I was stationed in Washington D.C. with the 257 Army Band, I was going to Howard University as a Jazz Pianist and working with three record labels: B'neath Da Underground Sounds, LLS Records, and Sound V.I. Zion Records.  Below are some tracks that I recorded when I was in D.C..  Tracks 5 and 13 from the "Love, Life, Spirit" album were composed by Guitarrist and Vocalist Jerome Austrie and were arranged with different flavors and interpretations by Jerome (Producer), Julian Cumberbatch (Co-Producer) and myself (Pianist and Arranger).  Track 4 from the album "No More Pain", was composed by Charlene Williams  from St. Croix V.I. (my home town) and was also produced and arranged by Jerome, Julian, and myself.  Track 6 is a song I recorded with the Howard University Jazz Ensemble in 1998.  Enjoy!  -- Joel

Extra

For Ana's 20th birthday I wanted to do something different, so I sat down behind a grand piano to record something for her.  Not having anything to record, I decided to improvise to the moment and play what I was feeling in my heart at the time.  This song is dedicated to her.  -- Joel
