Biography
 Ana Masacote is one of the premier international Salsa instructors / performers in the world. Co-director of Masacote Dance Company, she has earned a remarkable reputation as a dancer and choreographer.
Ana began her formal dance training in folklórico at the age of 5 and Salsa at the age of 15. She has since traveled to 14 countries performing and teaching around the world. Her unique style, movement, musicality, ability to follow any lead, and attention to detail have earned her tremendous popularity around the world.
Ana and husband Joel are taking the dance world by storm with their unique artistry of merging music and dance. They have broken new ground in 2006 (performing and choreographing to music created by them and for them by Joel Massicot himself). In 2008, Masacote became the first Salsa dance company in the world to create a scripted theater production, entitled "Fantagious," with all music and dance compositions created solely by Masacote.
Ana was the Latin Dance Coordinator for the official 2002 Cambridge City-led international tour to Cuba. Along with Joel, she currently embarks on 2-5 week European, Asian, and US tours every 2-3 months. They were the Guests of Honor at the 2007 Curacao Salsa Festival, 2007 Murcia International Salsa Congress, and 2009 Lithuania Sala Festival. Appearances include Turkey, Japan, Korea, England, Spain, Germany, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Canada, throughout the US, among others.
Her documented video catalog of her progression as a dancer has motivated dancers everywhere, and her video dvd collections are always sold out on travels.
